town gardens
- Addison Road
Using Timbertech decking material, Lucy Benham's design has transformed this tiny yard into an elegant courtyard. This design solved the problems of privacy and usability.
- Belsize Park
Designed by Jessica Higham this beautiful terrace is all about sweeping curves and thoughtful geometry, complemented by the warmth of sandstone, cedarwood and soft lighting.
- Campden Hill
Chelsea Gold medal winner Caspar Gabb designed this family garden using traditional materials and planting. The paved terraces incorporates a variety of natural materials and textures to create interest and focus.
- Chiswick
Designed in-house, this garden maximises space and light by incorporating limestone flagstones and white-marble cobbles, high quality tongue-and-groove fencing, and oak borders.
- Eaton Square
Designed by French visionary Aurelien Liutkus, this garden speaks for itself, coming alive at night. We interpreted and realised his plans, which demanded an extremely high level of finish.
- Drayton Gardens
A fresh and contemporary design by Martin Summers Gardens this small garden is lifted with the use of beautiful limestone paving and lush planting.
- Gwailor Road
This design by Lucy Benham makes efficient and stylish use of a tiny courtyard garden. Bespoke seating made of hardwood Ipe timber doubles as useful storage space. Mediterranean travertine floor tiles are offset beautifully by herbaceous planting.
- Hereford Square
The simplest of designs, the client wanted clean lines and maximum space. Being a shady garden, it was significantly lightened with limestone paving and LED lighting.
- Putney Bridge Road
We created this small urban oasis as an escape from city life. A simple stone terrace leads to a sunny lawn surrounded by lavender, roses and cottage perrenials. A fig tree was planted to grow on the sun-drenched wall, as well as evergreen jasmines, clematis and climbing roses.
- Southend-on-Sea
This seaside garden was constructed on three levels - a veranda style uppder deck, where a new door was installed leading to the kitchen.
- The Organ Factory
Built on the site of a former petrol station, reclaimed york stone flagstones were laid around the house creating room for two cars. Remaining space was excavated and raised walls built to provide planting space for small treams, large shrubs and evergreen climbers.
- Talbot Road
This design solved the problems of privacy and usability. The former layout involved a 'dead' space by the house, with steep steps leading up to an exposed and featureless terrace visible from neighbouring flats.
- Westbourne Gardens
This Moroccan style garden was designed by Lucy Benham, the central feature being a cosy sunken seating area complemented by the warm colours in the stone and decking.
roof terraces
- Holloway
This Mediterranean style roof terrace was designed to look aged and weathered within a year. Centre of attention is the stunning 50 year old olive tree weighing nearly half a tonne.
- St Stephens Crescent
This beautiful Notting Hill roof terrace, for design guru Nina Campbell, required galvanised steel containers and a low box hedge provide shelter on this small roof terrace complete with weather resistant furniture.
These balconies show a variety of containers planted with bay trees, olives, herbs and and climbers. The design is optimised for a small outdoor space with a minimum of maintenance required.
